Mr. Jayadev Galla

Chairman & Managing Director


Mr. Jayadev Galla is the Chairman and Managing Director of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M). Under his leadership, the company has achieved several significant milestones, including surpassing RS 10,000 crore in turnover and expanding its presence in international markets, particularly across the Indian Ocean Rim.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Galla worked as an International Sales Executive at GNB Battery Technologies, Inc., USA, now part of Exide Technologies, Inc., USA. In addition to being an entrepreneur, he has also served as a Member of Parliament and has held several leadership positions in industry bodies, including as a Member of the CII National Council, Young Indians National Governing Council and Core Group, as well as Past Chairman of the CII Andhra Pradesh State Council.

Mr. Galla holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

Harshavardhana Gourineni is an accomplished industrial leader and Executive Director – Automotive & Industrial at Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M), where he leads businesses generating over USD 1.5 billion in revenue. He plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s transformation into a future-ready energy and mobility enterprise, anchored in operational excellence, innovation, and global expansion.

Harsha holds a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Purdue University, USA, and began his career with Johnson Controls (now Clarios) in the United States, gaining early exposure to world-class manufacturing systems and demand planning. This foundation continues to shape his leadership approach, combining performance discipline with agility and continuous improvement.

Since joining the Amara Raja Group in 2015, he has held diverse leadership roles across manufacturing, supply chain, strategy, and business transformation. Over the years, he has strengthened operational capabilities, streamlined distribution efficiencies, and driven cross-functional alignment to deliver sustained growth.

As Executive Director since 2021, Harsha has led several strategic initiatives that reinforce ARE&M’s market leadership. Under his leadership, the company has delivered strong business momentum, including consistent revenue and volume growth across core automotive segments, expansion into high-growth adjacencies, and the successful introduction of advanced battery technologies such as AGM and EFB for both OEM and aftermarket applications.

He has also played a critical role in deepening OEM partnerships, resulting in multiple quality, delivery, and sustainability recognitions from leading automotive manufacturers, while strengthening the company’s position across key platforms and programs.

A strong proponent of operational excellence, Harsha has institutionalized a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing, with large-scale employee participation in quality initiatives that have earned national and international recognition. At the same time, he has accelerated the company’s digital transformation journey, enabling smart manufacturing through real-time analytics, automation, and data-driven decision-making to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Harsha has been instrumental in expanding ARE&M’s global footprint, with the company’s products now reaching over 60 countries. He continues to focus on strengthening international markets, building strategic customer relationships, and enhancing brand visibility worldwide.

Previously, as Managing Director & CEO of Mangal Industries Limited, he led a successful phase of expansion and modernization, scaling operations, strengthening manufacturing capabilities, and transforming business performance while onboarding marquee global customers. He also serves as Director at Galla Foods, contributing to the Group’s diversified business portfolio.

A strong advocate of sustainability and clean energy, Harsha has championed initiatives in renewable energy adoption, circularity, and responsible manufacturing, including investments in solar power and recycling capabilities.

Mr. Vikramadithya Gourineni

Executive Director – New Energy Business


Vikram serves as the Executive Director – New Energy Business at Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M), where he leads the group’s strategic transition into next-generation energy and mobility solutions.

He began his journey with the Amara Raja Group in 2013 as a Management Executive, gaining cross-functional experience across strategic planning and business development initiatives, including the evaluation of strategic partnership and joint venture opportunities. He has held multiple leadership roles across the Group’s energy, infrastructure, and technology businesses, contributing to operational transformation, strategic expansion, and institution building.

Vikram previously served as the Managing Director of Amara Raja Power Systems Limited (ARPSL), where he led a significant strategic restructuring of the business. Under his leadership, the Products business was repositioned to align with the Group’s broader Energy & Mobility strategy, with a focus on advanced power electronics and integrated energy solutions including EV charging infrastructure, home energy solutions, stationary energy storage systems, and critical power applications. This business was subsequently subsidiarized under ARE&M to strengthen strategic alignment with the Group’s new energy ambitions.

Concurrently, he guided the transformation of the company’s Power EPC business, including its entry into solar EPC projects and accelerated expansion into new infrastructure segments. This business was later integrated with Amara Raja Infra Private Limited, where he continues to support growth initiatives across industrial and infrastructure sectors, including the company’s expansion into Heavy Industries.

As part of ARE&M’s New Energy initiative, Vikram played a leading role in the establishment of Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies Private Limited (ARACT), the Group’s wholly owned subsidiary focused on advanced energy storage technologies. He is currently spearheading the development of the Amara Raja Giga Corridor, a ~300-acre integrated energy storage manufacturing corridor comprising advanced research facilities, lithium-ion cell manufacturing, battery pack assembly, and advanced systems integration for mobility and stationary storage applications.

The company is developing one of India’s largest integrated new energy manufacturing ecosystems, including a 16 GWh gigafactory and E Positive Energy Labs, a collaborative R&D platform focused on developing advanced chemistries and energy storage technologies tailored for Indian operating conditions. ARACT today supplies advanced battery packs, chargers, and energy solutions to leading mobility and industrial customers across India.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Vikram has also contributed to enterprise-wide strategic initiatives spanning strategic planning, organizational development, corporate communications, and capability building across the Group.

He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Mr. Annush Ramasamy

Independent Director


Mr. Annush Ramasamy is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India and additionally holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Strategy and Manufacturing Management) from RIT, Rochester, NY.

He is the President & Managing Director of Sri KumaraGuru Mill Limited (SKG). SKG is part of the KG Group, which has its core business in the textiles industry and has also Private Equity investments in Technology, Infrastructure and Real Estate Development.

The group carries out its social responsibilities largely through the various charitable trusts managed by the family members. He is the Managing Trustee of Katya Janani Charitable Trust, which works with improving the lives of underprivileged girl children. The group also runs 6 educational institutions (KG Educational Trust, TKML Trust, KGiSL Trust) and 2 healthcare institutions (K Govindaswamy Naidu Medical Trust) in its charitable trust.

He proactively leads the KG group by focusing on new product and new business development. He has a passion for new technology and advanced solutions.

He is also an active member of the Entrepreneurs Organization, Young Indians, TiE and The Chennai Angels. He has represented these organizations in various national and international forums. Dr. Amar Patnaik

Independent Director


Dr. Amar Patnaik had a distinguished career in the Indian Civil Services from where he took premature retirement. He served as an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer under the Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) of India for 28 years and held the position of Principal Accountant General (PAG) in Sikkim, Odisha, West Bengal, and Kerala. Dr. Patnaik also worked on global external audit assignments with the United Nations in New York, Sudan, Uganda & Italy and has led India's External Audit Missions to various countries. He has audited the IT systems of the UN and FAO, and the several national entities like the Indian Railways and State Governments during his career with the CAG of India.

Dr. Patnaik also served as a Member of Parliament (2019-24) in the Rajya Sabha from Odisha. During his tenure as an MP, he was a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, Committee on Public Undertakings & Rajya Sabha Committee on Subordinate Legislation.

Dr. Patnaik is a distinguished thought leader with a prolific record of publications on a wide range of economic issues such as fiscal federalism, financial inclusion mechanisms, carbon trading systems, monetary policy, economy, poverty, markets, financial systems, regulations etc. His writings advocate for evidence-based reforms to promote economic growth, including rationalizing subsidies, and expanding credit access to MSMEs. Additionally, he envisions empowering Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to facilitate their transition into MSMEs. Through his parliamentary interventions, he has shed light on the intricacies of debt financing, and the inflationary pressures arising from supply-side constraints. He has advocated for strong grievance redressal mechanisms in Financial regulators.

He is a leading voice for innovative solutions, proposing new frameworks for ESG and carbon accounting. Dr. Patnaik's career both in the civil services and in the Parliament has been marked by a steadfast commitment to shaping a responsible technological future for India by promoting technology-led innovation aided by right, often soft-touch, regulation. His demonstrably influential role in developing data privacy legislation, including serving as a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 contributed to establishing a robust legal framework for the digital age privacy concerns. He played a key role in drafting Finance Committee reports, particularly those highlighting competition and anti-trust in the digital space and big tech environment. Dr. Patnaik's advocacy extends to emerging areas like online gaming, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse, where through his writings, he has championed balanced regulations that foster responsible technological advancement and innovation while protecting users against harm.

Furthermore, Dr. Patnaik is a staunch advocate for fostering healthy competition within the digital landscape, ensuring a level playing field for a flourishing tech ecosystem. His expertise has been recognized by leading industry bodies such as ASSOCHAM and FICCI, where he has served as a regular keynote speaker. Additionally, Dr. Patnaik has had the distinct honor of delivering keynote addresses at the prestigious Global Fintech Summit, organized by NPCI in 2022 as well as 2023.

He has participated in various parliamentary delegations to Brussels and Berlin, discussing data privacy and digital regulation with European parliamentarians under the aegis of the ORF and the KAS Foundation.

His academic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Physics from St. Stephens College at Delhi University, an MBA in Finance and Systems from Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and a Master’s program in public management from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore and the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He was also a British Chevening Gurukul Scholar in 2013 to pursue studies at the London School of Economics. Dr. Patnaik completed his Ph.D. in institutional studies from XIMB, Bhubaneswar and has an Advanced Management Certificate from the Wharton School, USA.

He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) and Certified Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors). He possesses demonstrable expertise in risk management, evidenced by certifications in Risk Management Assurance (Institute of Internal Auditors). These credentials highlight his commitment to strong internal controls for mitigating financial and technological risks. He is also a practicing Advocate, advising clients and government officials on the ramifications of law(s) and their implementation ecosystem in India.

Ms. Radhika Shapoorjee

Independent Director


Ms. Radhika Shapoorjee (DIN 03559547), aged 59, is a BA (Hons) graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi (Class of 1987), and a seasoned communications leader with over 35 years of experience across advertising, public relations, and workplace mediation.

A prolific public speaker, moderator, and writer, Ms. Shapoorjee has served on numerous international and national award juries, including the prestigious Cannes Festival of Advertising and Public Relations. She has been a trusted advisor to governments, CEOs, top lawyers, litigation experts, and political leaders, helping manage crises ranging from sexual harassment cases to media boycotts and employee unrest.

She was the founding President of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, South Asia, for nearly a decade, leading a team of over 150 professionals across five cities and delivering award-winning campaigns across various sectors. Prior to this, she was a Partner and Chief of Strategic Planning at Genesis Burson-Marsteller, where she established brand-building, media training, and campaign planning best practices for the agency’s top clients.

Earlier in her career, she served as a Client Servicing Director at FCB Ulka for nine years, managing marquee clients in the automobile and FMCG sectors.

Currently, as Founder and CEO of Mediation Mantras, Ms. Shapoorjee promotes mediation as a vital life skill. She works with organizations and communities to amicably resolve conflicts and preserve relationships. Over the past five years, she has mediated high-stakes leadership conflicts in the finance, education, and non-profit sectors. She is an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) and a Specialist Mediator for India with the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).

She has served as guest faculty at the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), teaching “Negotiations in Labour and Trade Unions” for the inaugural cohort of their Master’s in Mediation program.

Ms. Shapoorjee is an Aspen Fellow and plays an active role in the Ananta Godrej Ideas India dialogue series, which promotes gender equity and conflict resolution. She also serves as the Honorary Secretary and Board Member at CanSupport, a leading NGO delivering palliative care to underserved communities across multiple Indian states.
