Mr. Jayadev Galla
Chairman & Managing Director
Mr. Jayadev Galla is the Chairman and Managing Director of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M). Under his guidance and leadership, the company has achieved many milestones viz., including the crossing of Rs 10,000 crore turnover, expanding its footprint in overseas markets, especially in the Indian Ocean Rim, etc.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Galla worked as an International Sales Executive at GNB Battery Technologies, Inc., USA (now part of Exide Technologies, Inc., USA).
Apart from being an entrepreneur, Mr. Galla also serves as a Member of Parliament, Member of CII, National Council, Young Indian National Governing Council, and Core Group. He was also the past Chairman of CII, AP State Council.
Mr. Galla holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA.
Mr. Harshavardhana Gourineni
Executive Director – Automotive & Industrial
Mr. Harshavardhana Gourineni currently serves as the Executive Director for the Automotive and Industrial division of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M). He is an accomplished business leader who has made significant contributions to the growth and expansion of ARE&M. Mr. Gourineni started his career in the Power Solutions division of the erstwhile Johnson Controls, now Clarios, and worked for 3 years across roles in manufacturing operations and demand planning.
After living in the US for 25 years, Mr. Gourineni moved to India inspired by his grandparents and Amara Raja Group founders Dr. Ramachandra N Galla and Smt. Aruna Kumari Galla. He joined the group in 2015, at the age of 25, as a senior management executive where he was responsible for supply chain issues and distribution network deficiencies in ARE&M (previously ARBL). Since then, he has climbed the leadership ladder and held various multi-functional roles in the business.
He has worked in different positions at RN Galla Family Pvt Ltd, Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd, Mangal Industries Ltd, and the group’s media arm – Amara Raja Media and Entertainment Pvt Ltd. As MD and CEO of Mangal Industries, Mr. Gourineni scaled the business by adding marquee customers like Samsung and IKEA and established a design partnership with AXISCADES Technologies. He also oversaw remarkable growth in annual revenue and was instrumental in setting up Amara Raja Group’s first manufacturing location outside of Andhra Pradesh in Oragadam, Chennai.
In June 2021, Mr. Gourineni was appointed as the Executive Director of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd (ARE&M), previously Amara Raja Batteries, where he is responsible for leading the Automotive and Industrial businesses. He has spearheaded a comprehensive modernization process and has unlocked a digital transformation journey across functions. He is leading a globalization effort for Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, which has taken the company’s brands to new geographies. He has also focused on green energy, sustainability, and new technologies to reduce the company's carbon footprint, setting up a captive 50MW solar power plant and a new Lead recycling plant. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Industrial and Organisation Psychology from Purdue University, USA.
Mr. Vikramadithya Gourineni
Executive Director – New Energy Business
Mr. Vikramadhithya Gourineni currently serves as the Executive Director for the New Energy Business at Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M). He started his journey in Amara Raja in 2013 as a Management Executive handling various functional responsibilities relating to supply chain management, procurement, marketing, and sales, while steadily moving up the ranks.
As a transformational leader in the Amara Raja Group, Mr. Gourineni is the driving force behind the design and implementation of key strategies in the group. He has held top positions in many group entities, including as Managing Director and CEO of Amara Raja Power Systems Ltd and Managing Director of Amara Raja Electronics Ltd. He was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations across these entities where he shaped operational policy, growth strategy, and future vision for these firms. Under his leadership, both ARPS and ARE have seen consistent and sustained growth in revenue.
In 2021, Mr. Gourineni was appointed as the Executive Director in Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd, previously Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, where he is responsible for New Energy strategy apart from other key initiatives.
Under his leadership, the company successfully established a subsidiary, Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies Private Limited (ARACT) in November 2022, to house the Li-ion initiatives. As part of this initiative, the company is setting up a 16Gwh Gigafactory for manufacturing cells and battery packs, and a state-of-the-art collaborative R&D facility called the E Positive Energy Labs with an investment of up to Rs 9,500 crore. He has also spearheaded the team to work on Li-ion cell chemistries specifically suited for Indian subcontinent conditions and already supplies lithium battery packs and chargers to some 2 and 3-Wheeler OEMs.
Mr. Gourineni graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Biochemistry.
Mr. N Sri Vishnu Raju
Independent Director
Mr N Sri Vishnu Raju is an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School and has completed the OPM programme. He holds Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Osmania University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was earlier a Director in Raasi Cements Limited and Raasi Ceramics Limited. He is the Founder and Chairman of Exciga Group.
Mr. T R Narayanaswamy
Independent Director
“Mr. T R Narayanaswamy is the Co-Founder and Group Managing Director of the Tattva Group, who are headquartered in Chennai, India.
The Tattva Group currently have businesses in:
- Oil & Gas Engineering and Project Management
- Healthcare
Mr. Narayanaswamy is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organisation) and is involved in various sports and community development initiatives.
Ms. Bhairavi Tushar Jani
Independent Director
Bhairavi Jani is a successful logistics and supply chain entrepreneur, a social development enthusiast, a notable author, a nature conservationist and a committed philanthropist.
Bhairavi is the Chairperson and Founder of IEF Entrepreneurship Foundation and Executive Director of SCA Group of Companies founded in 1896. SCA Group undertakes activities in supply chain and logistics sector. She is also a Director and member of the Strategic Advisory Group at Cargo Service Center India and Chairperson of Himalayan Essence.
Bhairavi has been listed as one of the 25 most Powerful Women in India by the India Today publication. She has been profiled as Stree Shakti (Woman Power) person by CNBC Awaaz and featured as a Young Turk by CNBC TV 18. She has been listed as one of the 10 women exemplars by the Hindustan Times and Business Today Magazine has featured her as the Supply Chain Maven.
Bhairavi was selected as the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader in 2018 and serves on the WEF-1t.org India Stakeholder Council and on the WEF’S South Asia Regional Action Group. She is a KBF Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network of the Aspen Institute and a Responsible Leader of the BMW World Responsible Leaders Forum. She is Past National Chairman, CII's Young Indians. She is a trustee of India@75 Foundation, Leap Foundation and Ananta Centre and serves on the Global Advisory Committee of Earth Day Network, Advisory Board of Global Alliance of Mass Entrepreneurship and Global Advisory Network of Apolitical Academy Global. Currently she is also serving on the B20 Global Value Chain Task Force. Bhairavi is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Business Honor Society, USA.
In the past decade Bhairavi has started, acquired, scaled up many ventures, most of them focused on supply chain and logistics. She is a firm believer in entrepreneurial ecosystems that create livelihood opportunities and dedicates a significant amount of her time, expertise and philanthropy for the cause. In 2014 Bhairavi undertook a project, “Highway to Swades”, for which she drove 18,181 km across India to gather information on peoples’ choices and views of entrepreneurship, livelihood and development. She has eloquently captured her travels and her observations in her maiden book – “Highway to Swades – Rediscovering India’s Superpowers” published by HarperCollins.
Bhairavi graduated from Miami University, Ohio, USA with a Bachelor of Science in Business with Magna Cum Laude in 1999. She worked with KPMG Consulting in Washington DC and returned to India in 2001 to start her own venture, which she scaled up and then exited in 2005. After completing the MyGlobe Executive Education Programme at INSEAD in France in 2005, Bhairavi joined the SCA Group. In 2019, she participated in the executive education programme at the Kennedy School of Public Policy at Harvard University on “Global Leadership and Public Policy in 21st Century” and in 2021 at Stanford University on “Change Leadership for Sustainability.”
Bhairavi is a trained classical dancer and is passionate about the Arts. Co-creating sustainable livelihoods for communities in higher Himalayas is a mission close to her heart.
